Ok, I know we haven't seen the epi yet, but I mean somehow he still takes her home and she's kissing his neck. Doesn't matter if he says he has a girlfriend. Blair is the one interupting them. I personally feel she can do much better. It will be boring yes and no one is as compatble with her as Chuck, but I am so annoyed with him. I haven't gotten over what did in season 2 and now they give us this crap. I'm just annoyed with the whole show. Although I'm still obessed with it and I love that your doing this blog that has both LeEd love, and Troll hate.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with the above commenter. They did enough damage to the ship last year, and emotionally destroyed Blair over and over...I needed to see some recognition of that and work done on the relationship, before I can buy Blair being psychologically OK with this, game or no. Time for a new ship, I think. Keep up the great work on the blog though!
ReplyDeletei think all is not as it appears
ReplyDeletedont give up on chair yet J!
also this is probably set up so they can lead to the white hot angry sex they mentioned
don't give up on Chair you haven't even seen the episode. When we first met Chuck what was he? YES A WOMANIZER! Do you really expect him to change his ways in a matter of weeks after getting his FIRST girlfriend? NO! How he's with that model girl is super in character for him and I'm personally glad that the writers are choosing to stay in character. Sure it isn't the best thing for the chuck/blair ship, BUT it is IN CHARACTER which is a step up for me. Plus we all know that they get over this, it's just a little bump in the road... there aren't any couples that don't have bumps in the road. If every bump in the road is gonna make you second guess Chuck/Blair then yes, you should give up on them because obviously you don't understand their dynamic, therefore there is not point for you to even ship them. :)
ReplyDeleteOn the note of the promo. I'm SUPER excited!!! It looks like it's gonna be great! SO MUCH CHAIR!! EEEEK!!! *squeal* Plus the other stuff looks decent.. Dan and Georgina.. interesting! Serena and Carter perhaps? YAY! I for one am very excited!!
OK...excuse me? Every little bump on the road? If I hadnt' watched the season with Vuck, Elle, and Chuck turning Blair down at every opportunity, I would see your point. But c'mon...not everyone who can't come back from season 2's damage is 'too dumb to understand the dynamic.'
ReplyDeleteAHH! im so excited it looks awesome, i cant wait to see the episode. I just hope we see more of how much chuck loves blair which i think we will because of all the lovely set pictures!
ReplyDeleteI never said you were "too dumb to understand the dynamic" I said that you just plain and simple didn't understand it. If you can't come back from the 'damage of season 2' even though I really don't see any lasting damage that was caused. In the finale they clearly went over that Vuck and Jack/Blair didn't matter, they didn't even touch on Elle because that was just weird and not worth mentioning, so what damage are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteThe dynamic of Chuck and Blair is that they always want eachother no matter what, throughout the second season they were always pining for one another, so when they finally GET what they want there is bound to be some confusion, mistakes, bad moments, epic moments and everything in between which is what we will probably see in season 3.
Okay, yeah I see where you are coming from when you say "damage" that was season too. But, I agree with LC where they touched the TROLL/Jack bullshit in the finale, and both Blair and Chuck clearly moved on from that. As far as Elle is concerned I am to the point where it's Elle who?? That was just major fuckery and I still stick with my theory that it was just a filler SL to make Chair drag to the end of the season and so on.
ReplyDeleteAs for this new season. Don't draw conclusions yet. Hold on! watch the first few episodes and then draw your conclusion if you want to stop shipping them. We don't know if Chuck is talking "business" with the whore and she comes onto him. We don't know if Chuck throws her off and tells her to fuck off before Blair comes and starts yelling. Basically we don't know anything yet, besides that "it's not as it seems". And clearly Blair gets over this...because in the next few episodes they are happy and kissing once again.
What I am trying to say is of course Chair are going to fuck up. Blair and Chuck are both their own worst enemy. Basically the writers don't even need third parties to screw them up because they would fuck it up themselves. I am not worried about this slut shit because I know that it could be nothing. A promo is supposed to make you go crazy, draw your attention. Wait until the episode airs and then decide :D Don't give up on them yet !!
Alright, then there is where we disagree because I didn't see Chuck pine for Blair post 2x6 for the most part(if you did, that's fine, I just never believed he was, especially in the Elle eps and Remains of the J). What I saw in the finale with the whole, 'Jack and Vuck and all the rest of it don't matter', was more desperate damage control to me than something I could believe in for the characters. While I agree with what you're saying on what their dynamic is, I don't think the writers agreed last season. I hope it's a great season for you guys...I just thought the promo was an odd choice after last season and the response to it, and the 'forget about the last 10 eps, do-over!' didn't really work for me. Again if you saw coherent development there, that's cool. We just disagree.
ReplyDeleteJ, I think Chuck and Blair are not your conventional couple. They both hurt each other plenty. You make it out to be that it was all Chuck who hurt Blair. It wasn't. Blair had her fair share of hurting Chuck as well with Marcus, Carter, Nate and Jack. But they both moved past it, because they love each other...and in the end of the day it's the only thing that matters to them. It's just they're still very young, fragile, and deeply emotional people and are only now gradually figuring out how this whole love thing is supposed to work.
